Last week I took a day off from the campaign. My son Jimmy, my brother, my father in law and I took our third annual trip to see a Yankee Game. We caught Tuesday August 4th’s game in Toronto. Due to my brother’s work schedule, it works out that tuesdays are the only days we can go. Given the fact that the Monroe County Legislature meets on the second Tuesday of the month and the Greece Town Board meets on the third Tuesday, there are only so many games that work with our schedules.
It was a great game. The Yankees won 5-3 and Andy Pettite and Roy Halladay were the starting pitchers. We stayed overnight at the Delta Chelsea, I picked a cheaper hotel when we went to Toronto 2 years ago and it smelled like an ash tray. Jimmy still talks about that place.
I found this picture from last year’s trip, Jimmy wouldn’t cooperate for a photo this year so this is the best I could do. We left bright and early and I was back knocking on doors Wednesday night.
